Handling Window Layouts

Window Layouts consist of the status of all open windows, they are working like Bookmarks but stores multiple URLs. Window Layouts can be managed by the Layout Archive or stored as Window Layout Files.

Layout Archive

The Layout Archive enables you to store the current open child windows layout (size and position of windows).

  • A Layout can be reloaded, also a single Window within the Layout can be reloaded

  • With the menu button Edit or the Treeviews context menu you can:

    • Open Layout
    • Add Layouts
    • Delete Layouts
    • Edit a Layouts Properties

  • Using keyboard:

    • Open the selected Layout with CTRL + S
    • Sort with CTRL + O
    • Delete the selected Layout with DELETE
    • Close Tool Window with ESC

  • For each Layout you can store a descriptional Text property.


Window Layout Files

Window Layouts can be stored in Window Layout Files (file extension ".mblt"). These files are associated with Multi-Browser XP and can be oben with a double click.

Choose menu File->Save Window Layout to save the current Window Layout.

Choose menu File->Load Window Layout to load a previously saved Window Layout. All current open windows are force to close before the Window Layout is loaded.
